planes and ships<\/p><p>To a land far and foreign<\/p><p>And only a few well-disguised crooks,<\/p><p>And perhaps future history books,<\/p><p>Could tell you why.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The pretense is security\u00a0<\/p><p>And the innocent\u2019s purity<\/p><p>When asked hard questions<\/p><p>They blame past presidents,<\/p><p>Making the death of our people a mockery<\/p><p>In the presence of their hypocrisy.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>And when they kill my father and brother<\/p><p>Will they tell me I\u2019m still free?\u00a0<\/p><p>Or was it all just vanity disguised as liberty?<\/p><p>And when they rob my mother<\/p><p>Of all she loves<\/p><p>Will they deprive her of her sanity?<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>And when the straggling survivors come home\u2014<\/p><p>When our former children return home<\/p><p>Will the arms they find waiting<\/p><p>Be cold and sterile and ungrateful<\/p><p>In a world that just wants to move on<\/p><p>From their sacrifice.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We offer up our country and our lives<\/p><p>To the whims of egoists<\/p><p>Because they are the only fools<\/p><p>Who could possibly want the job,<\/p><p>Propped up by ourselves to rob<\/p><p>The nation of our dignity.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There
