like poetry<\/p><p>Because it\u2019s true<\/p><p>Lately I\u2019ve been smiling<\/p><p>At a bird flying low next to a pond<\/p><p>While the sun drops lower on a long spring day<\/p><p>At a yellow monarch flitting weightlessly<\/p><p>On a breath of wind next to a lake<\/p><p>That sparkled, electrified by the sun<\/p><p>At a child waving ecstatically and beaming<\/p><p>As I pass, strangers that we are.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Lately I haven\u2019t had anything to write about<\/p><p>That I would want to read<\/p><p>I reject the spirit of Mary Oliver<\/p><p>Trying to take over my pen<\/p><p>Where is Florence Welch and her grand choir?<\/p><p>I now open my arms to instability and dynamism<\/p><p>Begone protection of peace and stillness!<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Calling all muses!\u00a0<\/p><p>I\u2019ll take liars, cheats,\u00a0<\/p><p>And the emotionally unavailable.\u00a0<\/p><p>Any lowdown, heartbreaker,<\/p><p>Playboy, damaged,<\/p><p>Anyone who wants to wreak havoc on my soul<\/p><p>As long as I have something to write about.<\/p><p>Because lately I\u2019ve simply been too
